March 15, 2011

In my last post I forgot to mention, amidst all of the awesomeness of Florida, that how I even got there, I was about to have my first plane flight, excluding field planes.  I got a MONEY seat, right next to the window.  Since it was only an hour and a half flight there it was do-able to just sit there and look out the window at the ground.
When it is your first flight on a plane, you're supposed to tell the Flight Attendant(s) and they will bring you a set of wings that you can put on your shirt, signifying your first flight (me losing my f-card, so to speak)!  Below is a picture of me in my window seat, the other is me pointing to my sweet new set of wings (courtesy of Sun Country Airlines). I was sitting Mid-Plane right next to the wings (safest part of the plane).

Yesterday my car was towed. First time ever, that I have had my car towed, besides being in an accident. I was heading out of my house with my book-bag, banana, and coffee (the usual morning ritual) and looked for my car, which should have been right across the street from my house, but it had run away apparently!  I have had problems in the past with my car horn randomly going off for insurmountable amounts of time, so I figured that someone called  that in and my vehicle was towed away.  In the back of my mind I couldn't help but smile, thinking about what the guy did while hooking my car up while the horn was blaring! Noisy Horn.... CLASSIC!
I woke up a roommate, he dropped me off at class and then I text my Mother, letting her know the details on what I thought had happened.  She was hoping that the car wasn't stolen, what a joke. If my car (1994 Olds 88) was stolen, that person probably had the skills to break-in, wire the car, and drive away safely.  If that person has those set of skills, why on earth would they steal my car.  Worry-some mothers, have to deal with them (not saying it's a bad thing).
That afternoon I bummed a ride from a friend, and we went to try and find this place.  We had the name of the place and general area of its location, but we couldn't find the place for the life of us.  My friend, using his intelligence/phone, found it on his GPS and we were on our way.  Still couldn't find the place, we were still in the general area, eventually, we found the place.  Way to advertise your towing company with a 1 X 2 sign with your company name on it.  Congrats, you're the dumbest towing company EVER! Anyways, I went in to the company, said I was the guy with the honking horn, and they just laughed at me.  I paid my $60 for the (unnecessary) tow.  Drove my car out of the lot, gave them the bird, and had my car back.
So, in the future, if you have a faulty horn, take the fuse out, or get it fixed.  Either way is fine, either way works.  Until next time, keep your hands on the wheel at 10 & 2, seatbelt buckled, and be sure to fill your car with horn fluid, because you don't want to run out!

*Reminder, there is no such thing as horn fluid, so if you thought there was such a thing as horn fluid, hopefully you were by yourself.  That way others cannot make fun of your stupidity.

March 4, 2011

So here I am in Florida, sitting on some back-porch with a screened in area and pool kicking back with teammates, playing 31 (card game...if you didn't know).  Living the life really, I mean, Florida, sunburn, baseball, sweet condo's that old people rent out!! yeah buddy!!

Today we actually got to play some baseball on the field, it was perfect (except our infield that we took, during)!  Sunny and 75 degrees, you can't really ask for more! I wore a wristband all day, got a sweet sunburn line for it, starting of the year right! Words can't really express the fun that I'm having, I'm bonding with teammates that I really haven't talked to much, and learning about them, getting to know everyone on the team, Good Stuff!!

I played with a buddy last year at school and we both went on to a different school. we were good friends and got along very well, anyways, I will be playing him down here! I'm pretty excited to see/play/strikeout him, if I get the opportunity.  Another thing is the fact that we're living in a quiet neighborhood, so it's not loud and horns aren't honking, it's just QUIET (so awesome).

The house went all out tonight and made some hot dogs for supper, we are going to relax and play some more 31, possibly some hearts if they're feeling up to it.  For the most part, this is hopefully going to be a great spring trip!  I'm loving that baseball is less than 24 hours away from getting started for us.

Last thing.  I did, however, look up dead baby jokes (yes, very mean, but also, very funny), I just didn't know how people could come up with something like that and make it funny.  I guess the world is evolving, it's whatever, we're not going to be here much longer anyways, 2012 is comming REAL fast, lol.

Until next time, remember that a microwaved baseball will fly further than a regular baseball will.  just throwing that out there for you to digest.

March 2, 2011

Due to last times' post, I have updated my current year to 2011. You have no idea how much crap I received for that little mistake.  Ridiculous!!

So here we go again, it's March, what can I say about March? It's filled with March Maddness, St. Patty's Day, National Viagra Day (27th, so get hard or go home).  I don't really have anything particular to complain about but, I mean, I could come up with something to complain about in a couple ticks of a clock...... GOT IT!!

Since this will be my first time flying tomorrow morning, I have been informed that I get two free bags and a carry-on, anyting else is not going to work.  So being's a rookie to the whole flying thing, I thought that a carry-on counted for a bag.  Silly me, I packed all my clothes, baseball things, and shoes, all in one bag (which couldn't weigh over 50lbs or it was an extra fee) which weighed approximately 65lbs.  Not kidding, i had 2 helmets, 2 pairs of shoes/cleats, shirts, socks, boxers, jersey's.  It was ridiculous, so to clarify I contacted someone else and they said that it was two bags plus a carry-on, all for free.  I'm such a rookie flyer, maybe I'll get a sign that says "First time flyer" or something tomorrow, just to liven up my day!

Our house is going to stay up the whole night in preparation for the long flight and trek before that to the Cites.  I will sleep like a baby on the bus, and also on the plane, which I really should be working on a resume for a summer job.  Family has been getting on me about having a job over the summer, I say, hey, I'll just collect unemployment until school starts back up again.

Either way, either way's fine.  But, that is all I have for now, I hope you all have a great Spring Break (for the college students that will be billigerent most of the time) but for the working-class hero's out there, PROUD OF YOU, also glad I haven't grown up.

So, until next time... remember to have a bunch of caffeine, because it boost your memory (bring on the coffee!!), but you can overdose so keep it a happy-medium.
